Description
These Chaya skates are ideal for beginners aiming to enter roller derby, as well as skaters in search of a low-cut quad skate that offers excellent ventilation. They provide a fantastic foundation without costing too much. An added bonus is that if you decide that roller derby is your sport, you have the option to upgrade the plate, wheels, and other components for a more personalized style with improved parts.
The boot has a low-slung sneaker-like profile and is covered in Polyurethane Nano Leather that feels soft yet remains durable against wear from contact with, for example, derby rink floors or other derby participants. The Poron/EVA padding is extremely soft and comfortable, allowing you to skate all day with minimal discomfort. In order to enhance the fit, Chaya has made both the boot and liner fully heat-mouldable, ensuring a second-skin fit. It is cut low for optimal manoeuvrability.
The Shari 3.0 plate on these Jade skates combines nylon and fibreglass, both of which are exceedingly resistant to wear, durable, and lightweight. It can be mounted to most Chaya boots using the Dual Centre Mounting, which also allows you to angle the boot according to your specific riding style atop the plate. The Power Toe System offers increased power, speed, and control, maintaining a slight pre-tension in your muscles for quick reactions and instant direction changes.
The trucks are crafted from aluminium with an angle of 20º.
The Octo Propel wheels are wide and provide excellent grip, featuring a 92A durometer.
The Chaya Controller toe-stopper enhances your control and manoeuvrability. The semi-soft Jelly Interlock bushings strike a balance between comfort and control. The Wicked ABEC7 bearings ensure effortless roll speed.
