Description
Youth Gone Wild's series of titanium bars offer a comparable stiffness-to-weight ratio as steel bars but with half the molecular density. This results in titanium bars being almost as light as aluminium while maintaining the strength of steel. The primary advantage of titanium lies in its elongation and tensile strength characteristics, making these bars feel especially flexible compared to steel or aluminium. Additionally, this feature enhances the longevity of the bars, as titanium returns to its original form rather than bending.
Considering the cost and mechanical properties of the titanium bars, we chiefly suggest them for riders with a certain level of skill, specifically intermediate to pro, as a minimum. This recommendation is due to the possibility of breakage, similar to bars made from other materials, when not used properly.
The Millennium features a Y-shaped design with a reinforcing cross-member. The bar includes a slight upsweep, contributing to its durability. It is designed for SCS compression and weighs only 763 grams, making it an excellent option for riders seeking park-like lightness for street configurations.
