Description
The Youth Gone Wild series offers titanium bars that possess a stiffness-to-weight ratio akin to steel bars, yet with half the molecular density. Consequently, these titanium bars are almost as light as aluminum while being just as strong as steel. The primary benefit of using titanium arises from its elongation and tensile strength capabilities, making these bars feel remarkably flexible compared to steel or aluminum ones. Furthermore, titanium enhances the durability, as the bars will flex back to their original form instead of bending permanently.
Given both the expense and mechanical characteristics of titanium bars, we chiefly suggest them for riders with a certain level of skill, specifically from intermediate to pro at a minimum. This recommendation stems from their potential to break just like bars made from other materials if not used properly.
This Flight bar is a supported T-bar, featuring reinforcing gussets at the juncture where the top part connects with the downtube. It is somewhat lighter than the Digger bar, weighing only 763 grams. With an oversized outer diameter of 35mm, it is also ready for SCS compression.
