Skateboarding with Eventure in Zambia

Eventure is a Danish organization that carries out charity projects in developing countries. Their aim is to support and promote sustainable development to enhance living conditions for people in underserved communities.

One of their main initiatives, Projekt Zambia, is situated near Lake Tanganyika. The project’s facilities include a kindergarten, a library, and a boarding school named Northern Star Academy. Everything offered by Projekt Zambia is free of charge, with all expenses covered by Eventure and its sponsors.

SkatePro’s Collaboration with Projekt Zambia

One of Eventure’s dedicated volunteers, Maria, contacted us as they were establishing a skateboarding school at Projekt Zambia.

There’s no skateboarding without skateboards, and we’re proud to have provided essential gear, including skateboards and merchandise.

Maria reports that word has spread, and kids are now traveling long distances to join the skateboarding school. The footage from the sessions radiates positivity and skateboarding fun, so it's no surprise that it's attracting so much attention.

A project like this is incredibly encouraging – here’s to many more skateboarding schools across the globe!
