Snowboard Goggle Lenses
Selecting Snowboard Goggle Lenses
Owning multiple snowboard lenses is beneficial for tackling diverse weather conditions you might face on the slopes throughout the day. The various coloured lenses aren't just for fashion; they're made for distinct weather and lighting scenarios.
What you need to think about is VLT - which stands for visible light transmission. Represented as a percentage, VLT indicates how much light filters through the lens. Regarding colours, opt for a darker lens if you’re snowboarding on a sunny day. For riding in dimmer light, select a yellow, amber, or rose lens. Naturally, when opting for an interchangeable lens, ensure the snow goggles are compatible.
Proper Care for Snow Goggle Lenses
Maintaining the cleanliness of your snowboard lenses will prolong their condition, but it's crucial to clean them correctly to avoid any damage. Typically, steer clear of using any products for cleaning the lens as these can potentially cause harm. For the outer lens, start by shaking off any snow adhering to the goggles. Rather than wiping, gently blot or dab the lens with a microfiber cloth to absorb excess moisture.
Apply the same method inside the lens, with added caution since the anti-fog coating resides here and can easily be compromised. A commonly shared tip is to minimize contact with the inside of your lens to prevent the presence of fingerprints.
