ALIS, a Danish label, was founded in 1996 within the free town of Christiania, Copenhagen. The brand's name, ALIS, is derived from the names of its two founders, Albert and Isabelle. Committed to supporting underground culture, they have sponsored numerous independent events and competitions. Skateboarding is a central interest, and from its inception, ALIS has been engaged in promoting and supporting the Danish skateboarding scene. Evidence of their dedication is seen in the skate bowl Wonderland, constructed through collaboration between ALIS, friends, and skaters in Christiania in 1998.

Beyond the borders of Denmark, ALIS has been involved in developing new skate spots globally in places like India, Jordan, and Ethiopia.
